The name of this course is Teachers Positively Impacting Student Learning: The Three E's of Engagement, Efficacy and Empahty. My name is Professor Michael Gill.
Course Work for weeks of June 9-16, 2016 1. Read the book "The Pact" Chapters 1-7 and participate on the discussion board answering questions 1, 2 and 3.

1. Read the book "The Pact" Chapters 8-19 and participate on the discussion board answering questions 4-6.
Course Work for the Week of Watch the second segment of the 60 minutes segment on the Gospel Choir in Harlem. Prepare a one page analysis by considering/answering the following questions: How did the teachers engage the students? How did the teachers/program teach/instill empathy and efficacy? What was the purpose of adding movement into the warm up activities? Give an example of perseverance and explain. 3. Reflect on the engagement powerpoint below and in your packet by R. Marzano. In a short, one page analysis, how are you going to utilize one of the strategies? How are you going to cognitively engage students? Share a lesson connection.
